Like not that they’d have the chance to say much probably, but I gotta wonder how his Latino coworkers feel. This is Keller’s statement on voting for Trump:
“I think he’s a destabilizing force. I’m skeptical of him, too, and who exactly is behind Trump. But given that there’s eternal dissent in the Republican Party, that leads me to believe that whatever he represents might be a destabilizing force. And he’s made a lot of overtures to Russia and China, which in some ways could be thought of as an encouraging thing. I don’t support or endorse any of Trump’s policies. I just think it’ll escalate the problem, which is the best we can hope for. I hope at the very least he’d turn the White House into a reality show. America would tune in, right? And then he could do something nice, like give the money to the National Park Service, because they’re trying to defund it.”
This is basically what I figured his reasoning would be, because I’ve seen it before, and I’m just going to repeat that this is the most fucking PRIVILEGED WHITE BULLSHIT.
Like sure, it’s very possible that Trump would be so horrible that he’d keep important issues in the spotlight, but in the meantime PEOPLE WILL FUCKING DIE. Black, brown, physically disabled, mentally ill, and impoverished people will die. It will become open season on Muslims, anyone people THINK are Muslims (Sikhs, for instance) “immigrants” of any kind, Mexicans, black people, trans people, poor people… the list goes on and on
Colby Keller’s privileged white ass isn’t going to suffer SHIT if Trump is in office, even as a sex worker, because he’s so high up the privilege ladder. These philosophical assholes who think this shit is nothing more than theory make me want to show them what some REAL fucking revolution would look like, because lemme tell you when I snap and blow up a Chantry with magic, I’m making sure they’re all inside.
TL;DR – if you’re going to espouse philosophical ideologies created by centuries dead white people, and treat politics like it’s a fucking research paper, go do it in a country where it isn’t the marginalized who will suffer for you fucking philosophy and your voting as performance art bullshit.
