She’s a sexually active woman with a womb, what else is she supposed to do with it?
Con:
She has been drinking strong alcohol in every episode since the break except the last
She has been throwing herself into danger, with no objections from Percy, who is quite clearly in on the secret
A city with a spinning orb of death under it that might vomit the apocalypse any day now might not be the best situation to bring children into
Procreating before marriage is especially messy when both parents are nobles in a very small city. Messes with inheritance and shit.
Of her like 60~ish years of half-elven fertility, only fifteen or so have passed, so it’s not exactly a biological clock now-or-never thing
Which at 28 it wouldn’t be for human women either
The cast has repeatedly rejected the idea of “roll for pregnancy”
“We’re making that roll too often in real life, this is my escapism!” – Taliesin, January critmas periscope.
And really, why WOULD she? Or they? Even consider this? Depending on how long the arc goes, that would take Vex riiight out of it, and if anyone is attached to their characters too much to even think about that, it’s Laura
You could also bring real life predisposition of the actors towards children into this, but that’s also kind of gross and uncomfortable.
You know, gross how it was when Laura was asked about having children in a Q&A and uncomfortable as in what that question clearly made her.
Stop obsessing over her womb, fandom. Women can do way more interesting things with their lives than having babies. Especially in the escapism of role playing in a magical fantasy realm that has cantrips for that.
Allllll of this above ^^^^^^
A response to this reply:
Or don’t reduce a female character to a walking incubator? fuck your feelings and fuck your “precious headcanon.”
Women are more than walking baby makers.
Hiiiii 🙂 thanks or answering that ridiculous reply. I decided not to because, well, it is ridiculous. I’m not even attacking headcanons, I’m just stating facts as to why the whole “omfg, Vex is totes preggers!” thing isn’t CANON.
If people feel like headcano-ing a pregnant woman has been drinking hard liquor and throwing herself into danger (while still having rock-hard abs, thanks Keyleth), I mean, they’re welcome to, but why would they. Why.
