PLEASE stop making Beau white in your art, I’m literally begging
here’s an admittedly incomplete chart:
everything on the far left is Too Light For Beau
if it’s lighter than column 6, it’s incorrect, and honestly even that’s being generous
I took some quick swatches from the midtones of the official art and put it against the chart for reference
even her brightest highlight (with the exception of her eyes) is still a 4F, but she leans more between 7D and 9F
if y’all are able to get the rest of The Mighty Nein perfectly accurate, right down to every last detail in Molly’s coat and Fjord’s sword and Nott’s bandages and Caleb’s dirty greasy hair and Yasha’s tattoos and pale skin and the exact color of Jester’s hair and body,, you can take the time to get Beau’s brown skin correct without whitewashing her, or worse, making her yellow
Oh my god, the notes on it. “But why can I draw the half orcs and half fiends and goblins with differen colors and horns and tails than they have in the official art, but light skin on the human is off limits?!?!?!”
Have you SEEN any naturally green, blue, or purple people in the wild lately? No? Neither have I. Now how about a brown person? Because it turns out they actually exist, and THAT is the difference here.
