Vox Machina never had a child companion or had a fetch quest to bring a child back to its parents. And they were people who were more on the good side.
The Mighty Nein are all shady assholes who within a month of knowing each other end up saving a kenku child whose sisters are dead and parents probably alive, with the intent of bringing her back to them if they still live.
I’m really into that. I kinda wanna see how long they can have a child in their party, and how long they can protect her before something inevitably hurts her.
To be fair Vox Machina might have had a child companion but Vax went and knocked him the fuck out.

Granted, I don’t trust the Mighty Nein with one either, so this is going to be either amazing or horrible
Scanlan also willfully murdered a kid that one time.
Scanlan also tried to sleep with a girl young enough to be his child … who turned out to be his child.
Percy, weirdly, is probably one of the best of them to take care of a kid because unlike literally all of them, he grew up with younger siblings. He has experience being around kids. So long as he’s not in Revenge Bang Bang Mode he’d be kinda awkward but at least responsible.
Keyleth, so long as she doesn’t get too anxious about messing up, would also probably be good at taking care of a kid. She grew up in a more communal style of living and likely had to take care of younger kids.
I trust all of VM to at least mean well for the child, and most of the M9 to at least not willfully put it in harms way. And let’s be real, if you were a kid and travelled around with these people, wouldn’t you consider it to be the coolest thing ever?
