I just downloaded a total conversion mod that turns the setting of Crusader Kings II into Vampire: The Masquerade, and its lords into vampire clan leaders.
Let’s do this.
The mod is called Princes of Darkness, and you can access it in the steam workshop. Apparently there are also werewolves and mages and fae, but I haven’t met any yet.
I didn’t know it, but there are real historical figures in this game. I…I Embraced Thomas Aquinas. I had to! Some other vampire king or queen was going to do it if I didn’t! There he is, on my relations screen. “Prince Thomas Aquinas of the Courts of Love.” He’s a saint! And he’s a Toreodor! How does any of this work? What have I, Queen Helene the Just, done?
I married him. I’m so sorry.
It really is tragic. It could make for a whole novel. A holy man is lured into becoming a vampire, joins in a sexless marriage with the demoness who turned him, finally finds true love with her, then loses her soon afterwards when she dies in battle against another demon.
