“It’s just a game” is not equivalent to “You’re not allowed to feel things about this game ever.”

“It’s just a game” is more along the lines of “If something goes wrong in a game for reasons related to it being a game and you feel the need to make actual nonfictional human persons feel like shit about playing it the way they did, there is a problem.”
