My one true love. My one and only. Nobody will ever compare to Her Ladyship Vex’ahlia de Rolo, baroness of probably both the first and the third house of whitestone, grandmistress of the grey hunt, and sixth star of Pelor.
(and writing that down makes me want to write a sequel to, well…)
- All the people I ship romantically with this character
Well, there is only one OTP. Sometimes, I’m a purist like that. I’ll read just about anything with her and someone else that is not her brother or sister or father if it’s in an open relationship kind of arrangement. As long as she’s having fun.
- My non-romantic OTP for this character
Everyone worshipping her, basically. Special mentions to Keyleth and Pike. Though both of them also should been mentioned in the other category. Also special mentions to Grog. Who I guess can also go into the above category. And I really, really would have loved for her to have another scene with Kaylie again.

- My unpopular opinion about this character
Apparently, outside of our little echo chamber arrangement here, it is an unpopular opinion that she was utterly butchered by the comics, moreso than any other character. She’s no bossy ice queen. She’s more of a people person than her brother. She is extremely caring and compassionate. And also she is not fucking greedy, y’all just never had to worry about whether you pay rent or eat in any given month.
- One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
Her own story arc. Or like, narrative points that were exclusively about her and not just a result of Taliesin putting his foot in the door and yelling until she gets SOMETHING. Even Pike’s tiny family arc took more screentime than what Vex got. Vex deserved better.
