pike for the character breakdown?

She wasn’t my favorite or anything, but like solidly in the top 5 or something and has never disappointed me, so, pretty good, I guess?

Hah. Well. I do like her with Scanlan, that’s fine by me. But during the year of BUT WHO IS PIKE IN LOVE WITH?! I became rather fond of Pike x Vax (she showed him the way, y’all) and Pike x Keyleth and Pike x Vex. Never with Percy, though. Mostly because of the knee-jerk reaction people had when the Perc’ahlia thing started to be a thing which was yelling WON’T SOMEBODY THINK ABOUT PIKE?!?!?!?

I also adore her relationship with Vax in a non-romantic context. Not where Vax went with it, but in general. Of course her with Grog. Grog with two gnomes on his shoulders. And I like all three women together, too. There should have been more of that.

Her secret love being Percy was… I mean, funny, because now everybody wanted him, but also not that compelling, I feel. I dunno. There was so little interaction and stuff, that must have happened exclusively before the stream.

Also her ending up with Scanlan is fine. It is not the trope-ish thing people were upset about. He didn’t just wear her down eventually by being persistent. He actually became a better person for reasons not completely related to her and stopped persuing her because of that, and that Pike isn’t even all that sure how she felt about him had been established way back when. It was fine.

Call me a hypocrite, but I really want confirmation that Grog gets to be the big brother to at least one gnome baby once. Like, it’s fine if neither of them don’t want any children (Scanlan has, like, enough anyway), but the mental image of Grog with a tiny baby that can fit into the palm of his hand, and refusing to wear shoes by the time the baby can crawl and get lost in his boots and then insisting no one else wear boots either because of that is basically my favorite headcanon that doesn’t involve Percy or Vex.

But I guess that’s not really related to Pike all that much, is it? Hm. I do want Pike to be the one starting to make VM, all very drunk, realize that they were all into Percy at some point. That’d be a fun conversation.
