What she says: I’m fine
What she means: Dragon Age 2, for all its (numerous) faults, had undeniable passion put into it. Far from being a cash grab, there is enough evidence in its themes and characters to prove that there was a story that Bioware wanted to tell. For all its laziness, not a single plot point is forgotten, and few side quests feel pointless. That doesn’t forgive its bugs and lazy reused maps, but it shows something pretty sad: that people cared about this game and were forced to turn it into a bastardised version of what they intended just to appease EA’s schedule. We could’ve had a great game, not an unfinished product with nothing but “what if’s”.
