maybe one rapist coming back to the limelight is a “second chance” but four in a month is a cynical, desperate industry trying to make its money back on bad investments. there was no specific event that prompted companies to ask any of them back, they just waited a calculated amount of time for the news cycle to move on in the hopes that we would all forget that these dweebs have done some sociopathic serial killer shit
But go on and tell me how #MeToo has “gone too far” and is “ruining lives”. When abusers get what constitutes a ‘time out’ and then everything is wiped clean. And some, like wife-beater Johnny Depp and groper-slash-apologist Ben Affleck don’t even have to worry about that much accountability, they were right onto their next blockbuster movie. Looks like the corner of the rug got pulled up for a moment but they’re doing their best to set it back down again.
