Because everyone is doing it. Here’s a few thoughts:
- My first thought was Liam, but by now we all seem to be in agreement it’s Taliesin. I want him to play a warlock so he can be as creepy as he wants to be. Bard is a reasonable alternative; judging from the cleric he played in the Hearthstone OS, he enjoys playing support classes.
- Marisha. Half-elf, elf, genasi, reasonably small human. I don’t see her going Aasimar, really. Also monk, obviously.
- Liam. Half-orc Fighter of some sort. Because it is the most straight-forward class with usually the least complicated math. Yes, really, this is what I’m basing this on.
- Travis. Cleric or another full caster. We know that he and Laura were fighting over who gets to be the cleric. Though the thing at the bottom irritates me. Is it a weirdly worn, very modern guitar? A weird gun? A really weird weapon from an evil god or something? Also race is human, probably. Though for a while I thought this one had webbed ears and was a water genasi. That’d be neat.
- Sam. Kobold Rogue. Arcane Trickster. Yes, him going for the shortest character again is redundant, but kobolds are amazing arcane tricksters and arcane trickster is like THE class for Sam, after bard.
- Laura. Tiefling cleric/wizard/sorcerer. Because she either wanted to be a cleric or a full caster. I hope she’s a favored soul sorcerer.
- Ashley, Barbarian or Druid, probably some sort of genasi, too. Earth genasi are cool as barbarians.
Decent spread we have in any case and only deviates somewhat from what I’ve been wanting to see:
- I personally would have wanted for Taliesin and Marisha to play siblings this time, with him as a fey warlock who constantly gets into trouble and her the exasperated older monk sister who has to beat their way out of trouble.
- I would love for Travis to play a paladin who isn’t too bound by WoW conventions like he was for the Hearthstone OS. I dunno, Paladin just seems like THE class for him.
- Marisha would have made a good Barbarian as well, and Liam a good monk.
- I was also low key hoping for Sam to be the cleric, I think he’d be a creat preparation caster in general. Cleric or Druid. But Arcane Trickster, man. Sam is the perfect Arcane Trickster.
- Taliesin would have been a good cleric as well, as mentioned above, he seems to like playing support classes and he was pretty good at pointing out when someone needed healing.
- Ashley is probably best suited as someone who comes in and deals an obscene amount of damage and leaves. So barbarian, rogue, druid, and kind of full arcane caster… All good options for her.
- Laura as a bard for eternal delight, but I don’t think she’d like the pressure of having to sing or be witty on the spot. Any other charisma caster would be nice, too. Though I will say I enjoyed her cute but socially awkward nerd wizard from the Hearthstone OS immensely, that’d have been neat as well. Still might be! The sheep horn tiefling looks like she might have glasses.
