Boy oh boy, I’ve been sitting on this for awhile, and certain events of yesterday made it hit a boiling point. Note for the interested: Cherrypicking someone’s posts to demonize them is kind of douche-y, especially when they’re trying to have a dialogue and you derailed it to do so. Cool? Cool.
I have been deeply, deeply frustrated by the way the fanbase and sometimes even the narrative have treated Scanlan, especially in regard to some of the, shall we say, unsavory things he’s done. Now, I’m tagging this “Scanlan Shorthalt critical”, “cr wank” and “cr fandom critical” and putting the relevant venting behind a cut, to do my best to get this off my chest without bothering people who just want to enjoy our gnome bard in peace.
