tfw “You’ve Got Gail” was canceled so soon so we didn’t get the final season storyline of Children’s Services wanting to move Gail to a different home but she desperately wants to stay with the Hendersons, and she doesn’t know that they are fighting to keep her, and in the last scene they surprise her with adoption papers and she tries to keep a brave face, but she says, “gag me with a spoon, Mom and Dad” and hugs them and starts to cry while the studio audience cheers over the final frame.
