Its rlly funny bc I’ve seen some super dumb stuff–most of it a bit old bc I’ve hopped on this bandwagon like a year late–where people were mad that Vex stole the boots of haste while Vax was dead and I find it kinda funny bc like. That is absolutely 100% a sibling thing to do. 

Half of having a sibling is arguing and giving them shit over e v e r y t h i n g and the other half is loving them so much you would probably literally die for them and this basically encompasses both those feelings? If I had to deal with my brother coming back to life as a literal dead man walking with a time limit on his life and the entire world going to shit I think stealing his boots to shift the focus of our interactions to bickering over trivial shit rather than thinking about his/possibly all of our impending dooms would be a very plausible way of dealing with that. Especially for someone like Vex who clearly deals with a lot of her issues through full on avoiding them by making light of/redirecting everyone’s focus to something else.

Like come on this is the girl who when confronted with her feelings for percy literally flew to the ceiling to avoid discussing them. Vex deals with heavy emotions by covering them up with jokes or flirting or bickering or laughter because lighter things are far faaaaaar easier to deal with.

I didn’t expect to get any new campaign 1 meta about my favorite Critical Role character at this point and yet here we are.
